Big Lots Picks G-Log

Global logistics and transportation software provider G-Log, Shelton, Conn., announced that closeout retailer Big Lots with 1,350-plus retail stores in 46 states, has selected the G-Log

Global Command and Control Center software to manage all of its transportation needs.
Big Lots will use the G-Log solution to manage its inbound, outbound, domestic and international shipments in a single system, providing visibility into all movements -- from the container level to the stock-keeping unit level -- within its extended global supply chain.
Big Lots will implement the solution in less than 100 days and utilize the software’s batch balance functionality to tightly integrate the G-Log software with its existing warehouse management solution.
By deploying the GC3 software, Big Lots will standardize logistics operations with its suppliers and vendors in one collaborative solution.
Once implemented, Big Lots said it anticipates a return on investment in less than a year.
