Teletouch Communications Inc., Tyler, Texas, has introduced GeoTrax trailer tracking. GeoTrax uses wireless telemetry to monitor and track non-powered assets.
The GeoTrax unit is about the size of a magazine and transmits via satellite. It is self-contained, maintenance-free and offers battery life of up to seven years. GeoTrax can be configured to report an asset's whereabouts on a customer-defined schedule, and, in combination with Teletouch's GeoFleet tracking software, GeoTrax can pinpoint the asset's location on a map.
