The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) is hosting Truckload Profitability Fundamentals seminars in Texas, Georgia and Illinois this fall.
The seminars will be held on Sept. 24 in Dallas, Oct. 14 in Chicago and Oct. 16 in Atlanta.

The hands-on seminars will show trucking executives how to build a truckload financial statement that will serve as a foundation for benchmarking and improving profitability. They will also answer questions including: How do you determine profit centers; how do you allocate costs, revenues, people, miles, loads, etc.; how do you begin benchmarking and conducting comparison analysis to industry leaders; and how can you apply the truckload profitability fundamentals to your own company?
Decisiv Inc. and Jack Porter, outside consultants, will moderate this new TCA Benchmarking Program. Confronted with the industry challenges of higher profitability, Decisiv has developed a truckload Uniform Financial Statement, a Financial Composite for Benchmarking, and a Best Practices program for TCA members.
Clifton Parker, chairman of TCA and president of G & P Trucking Co. Inc., said, "I believe the sooner we begin a uniform financial measuring process we will begin strengthening our industry. Truckload Profitability Fundamentals Seminar is the first step."
Those who want to gain a working knowledge of the benefits of cost and revenue segmentation within the truckload industry should not miss this seminar.
Register by calling TCA at (703) 838-1950, or visit www.truckload.org to download a registration form.
