Cummins Engines EPA-Certified for 2004 Bus Standards

Cummins Inc., Columbus, Ind., announced that the ISM 330 and 280 have been certified by the Environmental Protection Agency

to the 2.5-gram NOx+NMHC standard for urban transit applications to meet 2004 EPA standards. The ISM 330 and 280, which are EPA-certified in 49 states, are the only current heavy-duty diesel engines compliant with the 2004 EPA Urban Bus emissions standards using standard fuel without special soot filter exhaust aftertreatment.
