Melton Truck Lines Inc., Tulsa, Okla., is now offering a driver orientation program at its terminal in Laredo, Texas.

In the past, all Melton drivers had to travel to the Tulsa terminal for their orientation. This additional orientation will not only be an added convenience to many drivers, but also make it easier to provide freight for all new drivers.
The Laredo orientation will include the same information as the existing Tulsa program. Melton expects 8-12 new drivers in Laredo each week. Because of the class size, supervisors will be able to give more personalized attention to its drivers.
Eduardo (Eddie) Sanchez becomes the new orientation supervisor in Laredo. He will coach and supervise new hire drivers and flatbed securement trainees. Sanchez, a long-time resident of Laredo, has more than a dozen years of industry experience. He joins Melton from Swift Transportation where he was terminal safety manager.
