Razor International, an Australian company, has signed an exclusive five-year distribution rights deal Aero Industries Inc.

Aero Industries is a leading supplier to the American road transport industry, and the new deal provides it with exclusive distribution rights to the Razor products in the United States. Jim Tuerk, chairman of Aero Industries, represents the third generation of family leadership for the company that provides trucking accessories to the road transport market.
Australian designed and developed, the Razor is an electronic 'driver aid' for the activation of semi-trailer landing legs.
Razor eliminates the body stress associated with traditional manual winding, substantially improving driver conditions.
"The installation and use of Razor units on trucks makes for a more attractive work environment and therefore helps recruit and keep good drivers, a major factor in fleet operations," says Darryl Baird, co-designer and company director of Razor International.
"You simply press the button and the electronic Razor does everything else; it gives drivers time to perform other duties while Razor does all the hard work."
Razor has increased sales by more than 200% over the past year, success partly attributed to its introduction to the American market in early 2002.
One hundred and fifty thousand new trailers are manufactured each year in the United States, compared to 5,000 in Australia, an indication of the potential for Razor success in the U.S.A., Baird said.
