PrePass, a new technology that enables qualified motor carriers to comply electronically with state safety and credential requirements at highway speeds, has opened 11 new sites
over the last two months, bringing their total operational sites to 215 in 24 states.
In Missouri, the new sites include: Mayview, east and westbound on I-70 near Blue Springs; St. Clair, westbound on I-44 near Union; Foristell, east and westbound on I-70; Harrisonville, southbound on US71; Kearney, northbound on I-35; Platte City, northbound I-29; and St Clair, eastbound I-44.
Other new sites include Menomonee, Wis., westbound on I-94 near Eau Claire; and Calexico, Calif., northbound on SR-111 near the Mexican border
Motor carriers participation is strictly voluntary and carrier eligibility is subject to state safety qualification standards. Participating carriers pay a nominal fee for each successful bypass.

Launched in California in 1995, PrePass is operational at 215 locations with an additional 48 sites committed. Twenty-four states have deployed -- or committed to deploy -- PrePass. Those states include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
