Navistar International Corp. said it is recalling as many as 90,000 anti-lock brake system controls in its medium trucks and school buses.

The Warrenville-based truck maker said the component has been linked to five accidents, though no injuries have been reported.
It said it will take a pretax charge of $51 million that will be spread out over the next three years, and it revised its fourth-quarter forecast to a loss of 72 cents to 77 cents a share from a loss of 20 cents to 25 cents a share.
It also said it is continuing negotiations with the United Auto Workers on a new labor contract. The two sides have agreed to extend the existing contract, which expired at midnight Tuesday, for another five days.
