In an effort to help vocational customers offset increased costs for engines certified to meet the new October 2002 EPA emissions standards, Peterbilt Motors Co. and Heil Environmental Industries Ltd. are offering discounts on select trucks
spec'd with dump bodies, Peterbilt recently announced.
The new program -- which is available for a limited time -- provides a $2,000 list discount on Class 8 Peterbilt trucks spec'd with Heil dump bodies and October 2002 emissions-compliant engines. This program is an extension of the Peterbilt/Heil integrated truck-body partnership announced earlier this year.
"In March, we announced the Peterbilt/Heil Integrated Truck-Body Program, allowing customers to order a ready-to-work piece of equipment -- with expedited delivery and a single invoice -- from their local Peterbilt dealership," said Nick Panza, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. "This new program delivers those same great benefits, and a $2,000 discount."
Panza said Peterbilt is also offering incentives on lightweight components, such as Peterbilt's Flex Air suspension or proprietary aluminum wheels, and extended warranty coverage for select Cummins engines and Eaton transmissions.
The discounted Peterbilt/Heil truck-body program is available for a limited time on new vehicles ordered through the Peterbilt dealer network or qualifying vehicles in dealer inventory. Customers interested in the program should contact their local Peterbilt dealership for further information.
