International Truck and Engine Corp., Warrenville, Ill., has announced it is offering purchase incentives to truck fleet operators and owner-operators facing the October 2002 engine emissions period with uncertainty.
The company said it is delivering assurance in the form of significant incentives to ease the transition.
Calling it "The International 2500" sales promotion, the company said buyers of its International 8000 Series and International 9000i Series heavy vehicles with emission-compliant engines will receive $2,500 in finance incentives, trade-in allowance bonus or parts and service credit. In addition, each qualified new truck purchase earns customers an "International Drives NASCAR" leather jacket. The special promotion ends Oct. 31.
This offer includes the International 8600 regional haul tractor, the newest model in company's High Performance Trucks line, and International 9000i Series with new upscale International Premium and International Eagle sleeper interiors. Engines from Cummins and Caterpillar power all 8000 Series and 9000i Series trucks.
