Synergistic Systems, Neptune Beach, Fla., is modifying its Synergy Dispatch application to run on RIM's 950 and 957 wireless hand-helds.

The goal, says the company, is to get the latest mobile communications technology into the hands of more LTL carriers.
Neatly packaged, rugged and flexible, Synergistic's "Lite Line" solution on Research In Motion hand-helds will provide all the Synergy Dispatch basics:
  • complete P&D route Summary with pickup and delivery details
  • real-time pickup calls from dispatch
  • ability to capture detailed information on pickups
  • real-time P&D statusing for stops
  • real-time messaging.

"Using RIM hand-helds creates a level of affordability backed with flexibility and power that will allow more LTL carriers to arm their fleets with mobile, real-time communications," notes Lee Wintrode, president of Synergistic Systems.
Synergistic Systems plans to move its Synergy Dispatch "Lite Line" application into testing in the next month.
