Peterbilt and Cummins are providing free extended coverage for Cummins EGR engines on all new Peterbilt heavy-duty conventional vehicles.

This coverage is available for a limited time only, and applies to the Cummins ISX-EGR and ISM-EGR engines, which are available for Peterbilt's Model 387, 385, 379, 378 and 357. EGR, or Exhaust gas recirculation, is the technology Cummins has adopted to meet the strict Environmental Protection Agency emissions standards that take effect Oct 1.
On-highway coverage includes 5-years/500,000-miles on all major components, and vocational coverage includes 5-years/150,000-miles on all major components.
Peterbilt is also offering discounts on lightweight components, such as Peterbilt's FLEX Air suspension and proprietary aluminum wheels, and extended coverage for Eaton transmissions, to help offset customer concerns about the impact engines certified for the new October EPA emissions standards may have on their operations.
The extended coverage is valued at between $500 and $1,100, and is available for a limited time on new vehicles ordered through the Peterbilt dealer network or qualifying vehicles in dealer inventory.
Customers interested in the program should contact their local Peterbilt dealership for further information. Or visit www.peterbilt.com.
