McLeod Software announced a new strategic alliance with e*freightrac Limited to expand its trucking transportation software sales to the European market.
Following a full year of strategic planning and development, McLeod Software signed the contract with e*freightrac to offer McLeod’s Javabased LoadMaster Enterprise software to the European trucking industry as Euro LoadMaster.
Euro LoadMaster is being made available with modifications to meet the needs of European carriers.
“Western Europe offers an opportunity for legitimate expansion to a market that is ready for a sophisticated transportation management software,” said Tom McLeod, President of McLeod Software. “Our Enterprise product’s capability of using multi-language, multi-currency and multi-units of measurement allows us to satisfy that need; and by utilizing the already tried and proven assets of e*freightrac in the European trucking industry, we feel confident that this expansion will prove to be a success.”
Located in Ireland, e*freightrac Limited will sell and service Euro LoadMaster throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. Its affiliate, CarrierWeb B.V. of The Netherlands, will sell and service customers throughout the European Union and Eastern Europe.
McLeod Software, headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., has provided software to the truckload carrier industry since 1985.
