The re-election of International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa and the Hoffa Unity Slate was certified Friday by the union's Election Administrator.
Hoffa Victory Made Official

The slate won five-year terms to all positions on the union's General Executive Board by a two-to-one margin.
"The election gives my administration a mandate to build the Teamsters Union through aggressive organizing and intense bargaining," Hoffa said. "The election has ended, but the journey to rebuild this great union has just begun."
In the next five years, the union will negotiate all of its national contracts, including the contract with UPS, which expires July 31, and the The National Master Freight Agreement with less-than-truckload carriers, which expires on March 30, 2003.
