TMI, the company that operates TripPak Express and TripPak Online, has scheduled an educational seminar for industry executives interested in understanding the basic action steps they should take to help ensure safety in the mailroom.
The Dec. 11 conference, “Homeland Security in the Mail Room” is free to trucking company executives as a public service from TripPak Online. It will begin at 11 a.m. CST.
“We can not afford to assume that only high profile businesses and government offices need to take precautions, particularly given the U.S. Post Office reporting just this week that 578 Anthrax related hoaxes, or incidents, occur each day,” explained Kevin M. Foley, President of TMI. “In fact, several trucking companies have had their mailrooms and adjacent facilities shut down, while emergency response units and hazardous material personnel examine suspect packages and conduct laboratory analysis.”
