XM Satellite Radio's "NASCAR Rig" will tour the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit throughout the Southern this fall, promoting its dedicated NASCAR channel.

XM launched its service Sept. 25 in its two lead markets and expanded throughout the entire Southwest and Southeast in mid-October. XM will complete its national rollout in November.
"XM is proud to offer NASCAR fans the world's first 24-hour radio channel devoted to America's most popular spectator sport," said XM President and CEO Hugh Panero. "Our XM rig will help spread the word as we offer the latest news and information on all the major races in coast-to-coast, digital-quality sound."
The XM-NASCAR Xperience, XM's touring display, will feature interactive NASCAR-themed exhibits, games and live demonstrations of XM's new service. Sit in XM's mobile broadcast studio, built into the NASCAR Radio hauler, and walk away with a cassette of you calling a NASCAR race. Up to eight fans can race one of their favorite XM channels in a fast-paced slot car race. Sit in XM's trackside theatre and experience a NASCAR pit stop up close and personal. Get your picture taken with the legendary Tiny Lund's 1964 vintage stock car. Experience XM in a car environment in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix Coup, which you can register to win.
The XM-NASCAR Xperience will participate in eight NASCAR Winston Cup weekends, including:
  • October 25-28: Phoenix International Speedway, Phoenix, Ariz.
  • November 1-4: North Carolina Speedway, Rockingham, N.C.
  • November 8-11: Homestead-Miami Speedway, Homestead, Fla.
  • November 15-18:Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton, Ga.
