the DCS Diplomat Vehicle Location Service, over Nextel's nationwide packet data network.
DCS Diplomat provides vehicle tracking and fleet management tools and is capable of using Nextel services, including Nextel Direct Connect, a digital two-way radio feature.
The Diplomat’s onboard computer and software provide real-time GPS and a variety of reports to dispatch and management over the Internet. Diplomat allows users to develop applications in Visual Basic and add peripheral devices such as bar code scanners and credit card readers.
Diplomat’s Windows CE operating system enables users to develop custom applications in Visual Basic and add peripheral devices such as bar code scanners and credit card readers.
Darby’s web site notes the company is developing two-way messaging capability, sensors for trailer doors and reefer temperatures as well as product version for different types of communications networks.
