Malone Freight Lines, Birmingham, Ala., has bought E.A. Holder Inc., a flatbed company headquartered in Kennedale, Texas.

Malone is a division of CRST International. E.A. Holder has with customers in the steel, building products and lumber industries. Both companies are exclusively owner-operator.
E.A. Holder's 150 owner-operators move approximately 420 regional and national shipments per week, representing $13 million in revenue. The company has a safety office in Fletcher, Okla., and terminals in Blytheville, Ark., and the Texas towns of Caldwell, Corrigan, Groveton, Quanah, Springtown and Sweetwater.
"This purchase strengthens the Flatbed Division in both freight diversification and density," says Larry Fry, president, Malone Freight Lines. "It also keeps us on target with our five-year growth plan for the Flatbed Division, which includes expanding our business into Texas."
