International Class 8 tractors can now be ordered from the International plant in Chatham, Ontario, with Air-Weigh on-board truck scales.

The scales are pre-installed at the Waycon International New Truck Processing Center. The 40,000-square-foot, 35-bay facility is located next to both the International plant (where most 9000i conventionals are built) and International dealer Waycon International Trucks Ltd.
Air-Weigh scales allow the driver to monitor the actual on-the-ground weight of the entire vehicle to ensure that the load does not exceed a legal GVW and that the load is legally distributed over the axles.
In 2000, more than 4,500 new International Class 8 tractors were processed by Waycon's New Truck Processing Center before being delivered to customer locations and dealers as "road-ready vehicles". In addition to Air-Weigh scales, the center installs a wide variety of non-factory features and options, such as vinyl graphics packages, Eaton VORAD collision vehicle warning systems, auxiliary electrical power systems, add-on sleeper bunks and automatic chassis lube systems.
