FreightPro.com (www.freightpro.com) of Overland Park, Kan., has secured $7 million in second-round financing despite investor flight from Internet-related startups.

Jim Bramlett, president of freightPro, said the money will be used for information technology development, marketing and brand-recognition efforts, as well as for general working capital.
FreightPro.com differs from the many Internet transportation ventures that match freight with empty trucks or provide dynamic markets to establish pricing. FreightPro.com has assembled a virtual transportation company of more than 300 carriers offering a one-stop transportation site for shippers on the web.
The company handles the entire process, from pick up to billing and everything in between, using only approved trucking and warehouse companies at pre-negotiated rates.
