GE Capital and FreightWise have announced an agreement to offer each other’s services on their web sites.
Freightwise operates an online trucking and truck-intermodal marketplace in which shippers bid on available freight capacity. The site is owned by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad. GE is both an investor in and customer of FreightWise, which will now offer customers access to GE Capital services.
The GE Capital site involved is called GE Trucking (www.getrucking.com) and offers a menu of services including leasing and financing for trucks and equipment. GE will be able to offer trucking services on its site through a link with FreightWise.
