TravelCenters of America is using technology such as terminals, touch pads and transponders to make its facilities more convenient and comfortable. From fuel islands to restaurants and service centers, TA facilities are receiving a technological update.
Fuel islands are being integrated into a high-speed nationwide data network that will allow pumps to provide printouts for Loyal Fueler coupons, shower coupons and transaction receipts, while transponders will eventually allow truckers to effortlessly make preauthorized transactions. Other services will include restaurant servers using touch screens for better, faster service and Driver Net and Park ’N View driver services, which will help drivers receive information, phone, cable, e-mail and wake-up services.
