Durham, N.C., has announced a new customer support department, new versions of its Transman fleet management software and access to that software over the Internet.
According to TMT, the new Consulting, Implementation and Training Department was formed to develop strategic partnerships with Transman customers. Department personnel will design implementation and training schedules for TMT customers and follow up on a scheduled basis to ensure the most advantageous use of the software and to integrate new modules as they are developed.
In fact, new versions of TMT’s Transman software have been released. Transman for Windows now comes in Version 3.0, which includes a new navigation bar to the Unit Master and Shop Inventory, streamlined component code creation, increased flexibility at the shop level, and improvements in the mechanics’ workstation module that facilitates a paperless shop.
The new version 6.5 of Transman for AS/400 includes improved preventive maintenance processing, enhanced invoicing, added user-defined supplier types, added payment methods and the ability to change supplier codes.
Meanwhile, TMT has launched a new ASP (Application Service Provider) product to allow Internet access to Transman software. For a monthly fee, TMT’s ASP customers can outsource much of the hardware maintenance associated with use of the Transman software package. ASP customers are hosted on TMTsoftware’s dedicated server, and TMTsoftware engineers conduct all software administration.
TMTsoftware has over 400 customers and 3,000 users of Transman worldwide.
