American Isuzu Motors Inc. says commerical vehicle retail sales last month represented its second best May in history.
Sales of its Class 5 NQR truck totaled 272 for the month, up 25% from May 1999 year-to-date sales. Sales of the Class 5 FRR totaled 138 units, nearly double 1999 May retail sales.
Sales of the Class 3-4 gas-powered NPR EFI were 375 units, a 36% increase over May 1999.
Isuzu said deliveries to dealers were up 27% and its commercial division is on target to reach record sales forecast for 2000.
