The North Texas Tollway Authority has opened another 2 miles of the President George Bush Turnpike between Campbell Road and SH 78 in Garland.

The segment extends the turnpike from Midway Road to SH 78, 15.3 miles. The segment between Campbell Road and SH 78 consists of two main line east and westbound lanes.
TollTag transponders can be used to pay tolls automatically on the PGBT, the Dallas North Tollway and the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel. For more information about acquiring a TollTag, call the NTTA TollTag Store at (972) 991-0033 or visit www.ntta.org.
Other segments of the PGBT are presently being planned or are under construction. The portion of PGBT between Midway Road and I-35E is scheduled to open July 2001. The section from IH-635 to Belt Line Road in Irving is under construction with plans to open January 2002. The final segment of the PGBT between I-35E and IH-635 is planned to open summer 2004.
The PGBT is a collaborative effort between the Texas Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, adjacent cities and counties and the North Texas Tollway Authority.
