Nov. 12 – Yellow Corp., based in Overland Park, KS, is acquiring Action Express Inc., a less-than-truckload carrier headquartered in Boise, ID. The acquisition expands Yellow’s inter-regional coverage to 20 states, according to Maurice Myers with Yellow. Action Express serves the Pacific Northwest and West, which is a good fit with Yellow’s other regional LTL companies – WestEx, which serves the Southwest, and Saia, which serves the South.
Action Express is being purchased from owners Dan and David Fulkerson. Dan Fulkerson and his management team will continue to manage the company, which they have operated since 1984.
