USA Truck, Covenant Transportation Narrow Losses

Arkansas-based truckload carrier and logistics provider, USA Truck, cut its net loss from $2.5 million in the first quarter of last year to $1.6 million in the first quarter of this year. This resulted in a diluted loss per share of 15 cents compared to 24 cents during the same time frame.

CSA Update: Crash Accountability Study Is Coming

Some time soon the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will go public with its analysis of how to account for fault in the crash data it uses to assess carrier safety performance. Joe DeLorenzo, director of the agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance, said the agency is preparing a report to Congress and a Federal Register notice.

Questar Fueling Co., a subsidiary of Questar Corp., is building a compressed natural gas fueling station in DeSoto, Texas.
