Pride Bodies produced a mechanics bumper made from aluminum that is more lightweight and corrosion resistant than a comparable steel bumper. The aluminum part reduces 200 pounds of weight compared to steel, the company says.

Pride Bodies makes service bodies for trucks out of aluminum that  allow customers to carry a full complement of accessories, the company says. The bodies can carry accessories like service cranes, air compressors, welders and other products.

Because of the weight savings of aluminum over steel, trucks using these lightweight service bodies can save on the cost of fuel without affecting usability, according to Pride Body.

“Durable aluminum bodies allow our customers to consequently reduce the truck class while increasing the payload,” said Russ Lanthier, president of Pride Bodies. “With the cost of fuel and the intensity of DOT monitoring of truck weights, assembling the right combination of chassis and truck body is important in today’s economy.”

Pride Bodies has been building service bodies for 15 years. They build to exact customer specification and provide solutions to meet specific customer needs. Pride Bodies also offers turn-key packages to ensure timely delivery, reliability and fleet support.
