Jacobs Vehicle Systems has developed its first natural gas Engine Brake for the Cummins ISX12 G.

As regulations continue to drive fuel alternatives, the shift to natural gas is expected to grow and, with that, so will the evolution of engine braking technology.

The Engine Brake by Jacobs was a result of a two-year collaboration between Jacobs and Cummins engineers to provide an engine brake to exceed the design challenges associated with a natural gas engine.

The Engine Brake by Jacobs will be offered as optional equipment and will be available in 2013.
