As part of Qualcomm's effort to reach out to smaller fleets, it's signed a deal with Pana-Pacific to sell Qualcomm's Mobile Computing Platform Products (MCP) and fleet management solutions.

One of the key products to be offered is the MCP50, a new lower-priced entry in the MCP family, which delivers Qualcomm's applications for fleet management with a focus on safety and compliance to companies of all sizes.

The MCP50 delivers Qualcomm's safety and compliance applications, along with individually selected flexible and competitive pricing plans, to create solutions tailored to the requirements of each transportation enterprise. The MCP50 will ship in early 2012 with a suggested retail price of $799.

Qualcomm also announced the re-launch of the Qualcomm Enterprise Services public website and the new customer portal, which will be available with the commercial release of the MCP50.

Based on feedback from customers, both portals use intuitive layouts for a better e-commerce experience.

The revamped public site at http://transportation.qualcomm.com gives fleets exploring Qualcomm's product and service offerings easy-to-use tools to quantify the costs and benefits each Qualcomm solution can provide in meeting a fleet's unique needs. It also offers the Safety Knowledge Center, an education resource for fleets providing information on electronic on-board recording systems, compliance and safety matters.

The new customer portal will provide enhancements to customer's operational transactions and allow users to take advantage of greatly expanded self-service options and remain up-to-date with Qualcomm product news and updates.
