Clean Air Power has received certification on its Genesis-Edge Dual-Fuel engine system from the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board, meaning it's now available for retrofit in every state in the U.S., according to the company.

The Genesis-Edge system is available for retrofit on most 2011-2013 model year D13-powered Volvo and MP8-powered Mack Trucks. It replaces up to 85% of diesel with natural gas and is compatible with either compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas.

The system received 2010-EPA compliant emissions levels required by the EPA announced in December 2014.

The company also announced a distribution partnership agreement with TEC Equipment, which serves Volvo and Mack dealerships in the western U.S. TEC will offer full sales, installation and product support services for Clean Air Power’s Genesis-Edge users.

“I am very pleased that we have achieved certification for our Genesis-Edge Dual-Fuel in California which, as well as being a significant market for natural gas vehicles,” said John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power. “I am equally delighted that we have teamed up with TEC – we are now well placed to win the first orders for our product in the U.S.”
