An expanded integration between PeopleNet and McLeod Software will include a crude oil workflow application designed to give energy services fleets greater efficiencies by automating certain processes – creating an end-to-end process that integrates dispatch, driver/vehicle activity and accounting, the company said.

Making the announcement at the National Tanker Truck Carriers annual conference in Las Vegas on April 28, PeopleNet said the integration will enable immediate capture of delivery/pickup station information, eliminating the need for hand-written tickets or bills.

Automating the ticket process and in-cab volume calculations will reduce driver on-station time and improve information accuracy with that data seamlessly transferred to customer reporting and invoicing functions in McLeod’s LoadMaster trucking management system.

In a press release, Phillip Penn, president of PennCo Transport, Ft. Worth, said that "everyone in the crude oil business is asking for real-time ticket information," noting the integration will increase his fleet's efficiency and allow customers to track their trucks.
