The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau will again hold its "Spot The Retreads" competition at the Technology and Maintenance Council's Annual Meeting and Exhibition Feb. 20-23 in Tampa, Fla.

During the event, visitors to TRIB's booth will be able to get hands-on with a selection of new and retreaded tires to see if they can tell the difference. Participants who correctly identify all the tires will be entered into a drawing to win a Tire Industry Association Fleet Tire Service OSHA Compliance Training Program worth $300.

"We had a great time with this competition at TMC Supertech in the fall and only 17% of exhibition participants were able to correctly identify all the tires," says David Stevens, TRIB managing director. "We'll see if the group attending the annual meeting fare any better, as these tires are a real testament to the continually improving engineering and manufacturing process for retreaded tires and reinforces how they should be a part of any fleet's overall tire program."
