The sun was out, the breezes were mild and sure enough, the crowds turned out in grand style for the opening of the Mid-America Trucking Show
Thursday at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville.
The major suppliers of trucks and truck equipment filled three enormous halls with eye-popping displays, with lots of fun stuff around the edges. That doesn’t include the expanded displays outside or the dazzling array of masterfully perfected trucks on display in the Stars & Stripes Truck Beauty Championship.
The doors opened at 10 a.m. for VIPs, and for three hours, it was a genteel affair. At 1 p.m., the doors opened for the rest of us, and the bustling show was quickly at the speed limit with the cruise on.
Since major suppliers wait to introduce the latest and greatest on the occasion of this vast show, there’s lots to tell here on Truckinginfo.com. So most of the news today and tomorrow will involve announcements and introductions at the big show.
Meanwhile, if you’re in the Louisville area or have the means to get there, the show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday.
