In recognition of its safety record, the state of Oregon's Department of Transportation has designated Motor Cargo Industries Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, as a Trusted Carrier Partner.

Trusted Carrier Partners are not subject to random safety inspections.
A special sticker issued by the state and affixed to the window of the Motor Cargo trucks will allow them to drive through Oregon weigh stations without being inspected.
In announcing the special status, Gregg Dal Ponte, deputy director of the Oregon Motor Carrier Transportation Division, said, "We want to recognize remarkable carriers, give them something that sets them apart from the rest of the field, and afford them the level of trust they deserve."
"We are gratified by the designation as a Trusted Carrier Partner and know that it comes only through the efforts and accomplishments of Motor Cargo's drivers," said Motor Cargo President Pete Morrow.
Motor Cargo Industries Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Overnite Corp., which also owns Overnite Transportation Co.
Together, they form one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in the United States with more than 200 service centers and a fleet of more than 6,000 tractors and 21,000 trailers, providing full-state coverage to all 50 states and providing customers with direct access to more than 45,000 cities in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Mexico.
