Roadway Express Inc. and Yellow Transportation have been recognized for outstanding performance in the August issue of Logistics Management as being among the top "Quest for Quality" less-than-truckload (LTL) national carriers for 2003.

Having achieved this honor for 19 consecutive years, Roadway has been enshrined in the Quest for Quality hall of fame for 10 years of top performance.
Yellow Transportation, the largest subsidiary of Yellow Corp. was also recognized for 10 years as a top performer in the transportation services industry.
The Quest for Quality Awards are based on an extensive survey of transportation industry users conducted to evaluate and measure transportation service providers. The two firms received high scores in all categories including on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service and equipment and operations.
"Once again, Yellow Transportation has earned high marks for our best-in-class service," said James Welch, president and CEO of Yellow Transportation.
Bob Stull, Roadway Express president, said "It is gratifying that our customers have ranked Roadway as a quality provider, finding solutions for the ever-changing challenges of moving freight faster and more reliably."
