FedEx Freight, the LTL division of Fedex Corp., Memphis, Tenn., has opened a new Hudson Valley service center in Newburgh, N.Y.

According to FedEx Freight, the new facility provides next-day and second-day service throughout the Northeast, reaching as far south as Baltimore, Md. The new facility is approximately 40 miles north of New York City and is equipped with 120 doors, a three-bay maintenance shop and 8,000 square feet of office space on a 43-acres site.
FedEx Freight has also opened or expanded other service centers, including:
- Salinas, Calif. Moved from 20 dock doors to a new center with 34 doors
- Las Vegas, Nev. Replaced an existing 34- door center with a 72-door center
- Madison, Wis. Moved to a 40-door center with a 6,000 square foot shop
- Laredo, Texas Moved from a 40-door facility to a 93-door combination service center and warehouse
- Milwaukee, Wis. Expanded the existing center from 69 doors to 94
- Antioch (Nashville), Tenn. Moved from a 116-door center to a 216-door facility.
