Fortune Xpress, Des Moines, Iowa, is expanding its operations on the West Coast.

The all-owner-operator flatbed company opened a new sales office in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., to open up operating lanes for its owner-operators and increase its presence in the West.
Tammy Samodell and Angel Jarimillo from Roadrunner have been hired as new area managers and will be based at this location.
Alex Fuentes, also formerly at Roadrunner, has been appointed the new vice president of sales and marketing. His focus will be to grow the account base for the carrier in the western region, expanding the traffic lanes, increasing the length of haul and securing freight that appeals to owner-operators. He will be based in Albuquerque, N.M.
Fortune Xpress is a company of Annett Holdings, the largest privately held flatbed carrier in the United States.
