Phoenix-based Knight Transportation Inc. reported second quarter 2000 revenue of $51.7 million, up 40.8% from the $36.7 million in second quarter 1999.
Net income was $4.6 million versus $3.9 million a year ago.
Revenue for the first half of 2000 was $95.2 million versus $70.2 million for the first half of 1999. Net income was $8.5 million versus $7.4 million last year.
The company said higher fuel prices reduced earnings by about 3 cents per share from second quarter 1999 and 9 cents per share from the first half of 1999.
