Schneider Specialized Carriers (SSC) recently received two awards at the Specialized Carrier & Rigging Association (SC&RA) annual conference in Napa Valley, California.

SSC was presented with the "Transportation Group Safety Award" for the best accident-to-miles traveled ratio in 1999 (Fifty Million-One Hundred Million Mile Category). SSC was the only carrier of its size to win the award. The carrier also received the "Fleet Safety Improvement Award" as recognition of the most improved accidents-to-miles traveled ratio from 1998 to 1999.
The criteria for the awards was based from data reported from all SSC business segments: Heavy Haul, Machinery, Glass and Dedicated fleets. Dave Cobb, General Manager, and Rick Stark, Heavy Haul manager, accepted the awards on behalf of SSC.
