Volvo Group CEO Olaf Persson will serve as keynote speaker for the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association’s 25th Annual Breakfast and Briefing. Persson will discuss Volvo’s views on key issues and trends affecting the global and North American commercial transportation markets.

The Annual Breakfast and Briefing is being held the morning of March 27 preceding the opening of the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. The event provides a breakfast and opportunity to network.

Persson joined the Volvo Group in 2006 as president and CEO of Volvo Aero Corporation before moving to the position of president and CEO at Volvo Construction Equipment in 2008. In 2011 he was appointed the president of AB Volvo and CEO of Volvo Group.

In August 2014, Persson was appointed by United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon co-chairman of a United Nations advisory group on sustainable transport.

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association is the heavy-duty division of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association. HDMA provides industry leadership for North-American OE and aftermarket suppliers in the on- and off-highway commercial vehicle equipment industry.
