Schneider National is making it easier for students to turn a dream into reality by offering $6,000 for tuition reimbursement to qualified driving school graduates. The program will cover the full cost of many truck-driving schools to give drivers a leg up as they enter the industry.

"Schneider National's tuition reimbursement program helps students overcome a big hurdle in starting a driving career - the cost of attending an accredited truck driving school," says Mike Hinz, Schneider vice president. "Safety - the heart of our core values and the cornerstone of our commitment to drivers - starts with proper professional training."

To qualify for the tuition reimbursement program, drivers must be hired by Schneider National within 60 days of graduation. Reimbursement payments of $150 are made monthly, up to $6,000 total. Truck driving school curriculum focuses on developing the foundational skills necessary to earn a CDL and is typically completed in four to eight weeks.

In addition to the Tuition Reimbursement Program, Schneider offers current and former military members a VA-approved Apprenticeship Program. The program pays up to $1,069 per month in a new driver's first year, in addition to Schneider paychecks.

Schneider National is making it easier for truck drivers to get training. Their program makes paying for school a little easier on the individual. This is a good idea, it's like a win win.

This is a great idea for companies to give back and help people get on the road. When looking for trucking jobs i found a site that was really helpful in that you can choose which jobs you want and with one application apply to all of them at once. It was called everytruckjob and my results have been outstanding.
