Nearly 130 trucks converged on Louisville, Ky., for the first Stars & Stripes championship and Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Show.
The competition is being held in conjunction with the Mid-America Trucking Show, which runs through Saturday.
Nearly 30 Stars & Stripes finalists, chosen during five qualifying shows last year, are competing for top prizes of $30,000 each for the bobtail and combination winners. In addition, nearly 100 other trucks are competing in the Paul K. Young show.
The weather, which drizzled cold rain on participants as they cleaned and polished earlier this week, turned sunny Thursday and Friday, just in time for the judging and the crowds of people admiring the rigs.
The awards ceremony will be held Saturday morning. We'll have the results on Truckinginfo.com Monday.
