Arizona Raises Speed Limit on U.S. 89

Sep. 3 — The Arizona Department of Transportation raised the speed limit on about 130 miles of U.S. 89 from Flagstaff to the Utah border from 55 mph to 65 mph. The older, lower speed limit will stay in effect at several junctions and where U.S. 89 passes through communities such as Gray Mountain, Cameron and Page. The change was effective Sept. 1.
