Qualcomm and Rair Technologies announced a collaboration to enhance the value of Qualcomm Hours of Service by offering more robust auditing and analysis of HOS data, which can be captured electronically or on paper.
Fleets using Qualcomm's HOS now have more options to efficiently manage their compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hours of service regulations.
With this enhanced hours of service compliance offering, fleets can send their paper logs to Rair, who scans and provides them back to the fleet with additional electronic data that can then be audited and compared to Qualcomm's positioning data to ensure comprehensive hours of service compliance reporting.
Fleets using Qualcomm's electronic logs can have Qualcomm sent the logbook data directly to Rair.
The Rair solution is ideal for fleets using both electronic and paper logs as it can compare electronic positioning data provided by Qualcomm to data provided by drivers in their paper logs, say the companies. Rair also can process DVIR information and support driver notification for violations.
