Guardian Warranty Corporation has launched its Medium-Duty Truck Protection Plan, which provides mechanical breakdown coverage for medium-duty trucks.

"Medium-duty trucks represent a significant growth segment in the industry," said Rob Glander, GWC's president and CEO. "We set out to provide a strong protection plan, backed by GWC's unparalleled service level, to help our dealers meet the needs of this expanding customer base."

The plan incorporates many more components than a basic powertrain protection plan and is available for trucks with a GVWR of up to 19,500 pounds. Cost is determined by weight, mileage and fuel type, and is available on a wide range of mid-size vehicles from small dump trucks to refrigerated and box trucks.

The Medium-Duty Truck Protection Plan qualifies for the same participation program benefits offered with the company's Vehicle Protection Plans.
