The Association of Independent Oil Distributors (AIOD) has launched the Purus Assurance System, a fluid analysis program administered by Polaris Laboratories to support AIOD's newest brand, Purus
. The Purus Assurance System offers oil, fuel and coolant test kits, test results and easy-to-access equipment sampling histories as well as secure, paperless reporting.
"By identifying dirt, wear particles and other contaminants that can cause failure or prematurely shorten equipment life, users can increase equipment reliability and minimize downtime," said Doug Roberts, AIOD executive director.
The Purus commercial and industrial product line consists of synthetic and synthetic blend diesel engine oils, diesel exhaust fluid, gear oils and transmission fluids, and hydraulic fluids.
Polaris Laboratories provides complete testing and analysis for oils, fuels, coolants and water-based fluids.
