Kenworth has outfitted its C500 vocational model with a larger cooling module and new hood, available in either fiberglass or durable sheet metal.
The Kenworth C500, which is designed to handle heavy loads over rough terrain, is ideal for demanding applications, including heavy-haul, oilfield services, coal mining and construction.
In addition to the new hood, the C500 now features a 1,780 square-inch cooling module. This improved cooling capacity allows Kenworth to offer the C500 across-the-board for gross combination weights up to 200,000 pounds. The increase also allows stationary pumping with the maximum horsepower and torque available, which is 600 horsepower and 2,050 pounds-feet, respectively.
The Kenworth C500 is available with a standard day cab, Kenworth Extended Day Cab, 38-inch AeroCab FlatTop sleeper, and 42-inch modular sleeper.
