, the company says.

"Peterbilt engineered the new proprietary stainless steel air cleaner to address our customers' desire for uncompromised performance and durability," said Larry Reding, Peterbilt assistant general manager of sales and marketing. "The new cleaner was designed using the latest materials and technologies to maximize engine life and provide ease of maintenance and filter replacement."

Peterbilt developed the new stainless steel air cleaner with the help of Donaldson, and it's available on Peterbilt Models 389, 388 and 367, in both 13- and 15-inch diameters for single or dual side installations.

The new proprietary air filter developed by Paccar features nanotechnology to aid in trapping submicron contaminants, extend maintenance intervals and prolong engine life. In addition, a new air filter seal has been designed to reduce contamination and facilitate easier inspection and servicing.
