R-O-M Corp. has improved its SidekicK folding walkramp by adding new, larger wheels for better ramp mobility and easier maneuverability.
R-O-M Improves SidekicK Walkramp
The SidekicK is a reversible folding walkramp and transverse carrier system that accommodates side-door delivery for food distributors.

"Our customers asked for a more robust wheel design that would help them better move their ramps over obstacles, across rocky parking lots, through uneven terrain, in the snow -- basically any of the conditions drivers face on a day-to-day basis," said Dan Caffrey, national accounts manager for foodservice distribution.

R-O-M has doubled the wheel diameter on the new model to 5 inches. The larger wheels are deployed when the ramp is removed from the carrier, allowing drivers to move the ramp to any door.

The wheels retract when the ramp is positioned for off-loading, and the steel legs lock in place to provide increased stability. The new SidekicK can be retrofitted with legacy R-O-M carriers.
